Welcome

Hello! My name is Skylar Sypher.

I am a deaf artist based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was born in Ukraine and my parents adopted me when I was 3 years old. In my youth, I attended the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, from which I graduated in 2014.

I then attended Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) in Colorado and majored in art. It was there that I entered a competition held by an art gallery and won first place with my painting of Frida Kahlo. The following year, I won second place with my painting of a Greek God.

These achievements helped me gain confidence in my skills, and I began to paint full-time. In addition to oil painting, I also create drawings with other media, especially colored pencils. My emotions enable me to express myself through abstract painting.
